Ingredients and supplies
- 300 g whole wheat or multigrain biscuit
- 120 g butter
- 6 large bananas
- 1 portion caramel sauce (see below)
- 400 ml whipped cream
- 1.5 tsp instant coffee powder
- 1 tbsp sugar
Caramel sauce
- 1 can condensed milk
- 70 g brown caster sugar
- 50 g butter

Preparation
Make the Caramel Sauce
- Heat the condensed milk, sugar and butter in a saucepan while stirring.
- Do not let it boil!!!.
- After stirring for 10 minutes, the mixture will have thickened slightly and is ready.
Make the base in a 27 cm springform pan and finish:
- Crumble the biscuit in a food processor.
- Melt the butter in a pan, remove from heat and stir the crumbs evenly through it.
- Press this mixture into the bottom and sides of a cake tin and allow to cool.
- Cover the base with the caramel sauce. Cut the bananas into pieces of an inch or two.
- Place the banana pieces on the flat side next to each other.
- Put the cake back in the fridge.
Whip the cream with the sugar and instant coffee powder until it forms soft peaks.
Spoon the whipped cream over the banana.
Let it stiffen in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.
